Angela Hagen, RCSA’s Director of Communications, will retire in June.
Since joining RCSA in January of 2020, Angela has focused her attention on creating a cohesive communications strategy focused on our awardees and their accomplishments, improving the look and feel of our website and materials, and helping our awardees and their institutions communicate the impact of their work and our programs.
Angela joined us after a career working in journalism and nonprofit communications. She brought to RCSA not only extensive communications experience but a genuine concern and appreciation for the work being done by RCSA and the lives and careers it touches.
Anyone attending an RCSA conference would often be greeted not only by our program directors and program administrators but Angela too. She ensured that our storytelling and photography highlighted not only every conference group’s enthusiasm and passion but their diversity as well.
Angela’s knowledge and expertise will be missed, but perhaps even more we will miss her engaging and cheerful personality and hearing her laugh in the office.
While Angela will remain available to help the organization and her successor with the transition, she is looking forward to spending more time on her bike, traveling, and enjoying more time with family and friends.
Thank you, Angela, for all that you have done for RCSA and its community.
