Meg Zimlich Martin, M.A., CRA
Meg Zimlich Martin has worked in research administration since 2007. She started her career at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, helping principal investigators submit proposals to a variety of funding agencies such as the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of Defense, the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the National Endowment for the Arts, along with many other state, local, and private sponsors.
She moved to the University of Arizona in 2012, joining a post-award team that manages sponsored awards for all of the university’s medical colleges. In 2015, she was promoted to manager of the team, handling a portfolio of more than 1,600 accounts from sponsors including the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Health Resources and Services Administration, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Arizona Department of Health Services.
Meg has an M.A. in sociology from the University of Tennessee and a B.S. in political science from Spring Hill College. In 2022, she became qualified as a Certified Research Administrator® from the Research Administrators Certification Council.
