RCSA was founded in 1912 by Fred Cottrell (left), who was a chemist, engineer and inventor. Modern day scientists supported by RCSA such as Mats Selen (center) have invented a wide array of devices, including tools to teach physics. As Fred Cottrell advised, RCSA focuses its support on early-career faculty such as Puja Goyal (right).
