What makes a world habitable? How can we tell if certain molecules are signs of life? These questions and more were discussed at the first meeting of Scialog: Signatures of Life in the Universe, held virtually June 10-11, 2021. The initiative was cosponsored by the Heising-Simons Foundation, with additional support from the Kavli Foundation and NASA.
