Woodward (1917-1979), who donated his royalty rights to reserpine to Research Corporation in 1956, received Research Corporation grants from 1949 to 1953 for experiments on the synthesis of cortisone; and a grant in 1957 for the investigation of the structure and synthesis of chlorophyll.
