William Lipscomb Jr. was awarded the Nobel Prize.

William N. Lipscomb Jr. (1919-2011) was awarded the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 1976. He received a Research Corporation grant in 1959 for determination of the molecular structure of an enzyme, a protease from Tetrahymena pyriformis W, by x-ray diffraction methods.
